PhD Pilot

The Digital Waters Doctoral Education Pilot, the PhD Pilot, responds to the growing need for doctoral-level experts in the Digital Waters Flagship area.

The doctoral education pilot focuses on the Flagship’s research area of complex interactions and responses in the hydro-, cryo-, and atmosphere.

What is the DIWA PhD pilot?

The PhD Pilot offers a structured three-year doctoral education path for doctoral researchers. The program equips doctoral researchers with methodological, digital, and management skills to become game-changers in water research and innovation, within both academia and industry.

Doctoral researchers within the PhD Pilot undertake secondments with leading industry and research partners. Through these secondments, Digital Waters Flagship is collaborating with public and private sector stakeholders to co-create services and products. We foster communication among researchers, policymakers, specialists, and industry professionals.
